On the 3rd of April, the Internet Watch Foundation held a launch event at the House of Commons for the release of its latest annual report, with its members invited to attend.

NetSupport travelled to London for the occasion, which saw not only the release of the report, but featured speeches from prestigious speakers including the IWF Chair, Sir Richard Tilt, plus representatives from Facebook, Microsoft and the newly-established IWF Hotline in India.

Among the key findings of the report is the fact that, for the first time, Europe now hosts the majority of child sexual abuse webpages (60 per cent) with the USA dropping down to second place (37 per cent). In contrast, here in the UK, due to the zero tolerance approach of our internet industry, we see less than 0.1 per cent of images being hosted.
