Keeping students safe while they learn online has always been important, but it’s even more vital to do so now with schools taking a more blended approach to support both in-school and remote learning.

In a recent article written by our CEO, Al Kingsley, and featured as a guest post on ISTE Certified Educator, teacher and consultant, Rachelle Dené Poth’s (@rdene915) education blog, ‘Staying Safe Online,’ emphasizes the need to instil digital citizenship skills in students and promote a positive digital culture.

Discover some of Al’s helpful online safety tips:

  • Incorporate a whole-school approach that includes the students as well as every member of staff.
  • Boost teachers’ knowledge by sharing ideas, open peer discussions, and being active on Twitter.
  • Be mindful of what you are posting on social media and consider the outcomes before posting.
  • Get parents on board with edtech to encourage positive online activity at home.
