What eSafety tools does NetSupport DNA include?
NetSupport works closely with schools, school counselors, staff and students to create a range of proactive and reactive tools that are relevant, effective and most importantly, up-to-date. Providing the tools you need to identify students at risk; prevent them being exposed to inappropriate online content; encourage greater digital citizenship and wellbeing; enforce acceptable use policies and fulfil your eSafety duties – NetSupport DNA does this all, and in line with ISTE and CIPA guidance, and operated independently of the IT team.
If a concerning keyword is triggered, it’s captured immediately (available as a log, screen screenshot/screen video recording and more).
eSafety keyword language packs are included to support schools with students learning English as an additional language (EAL).

Keeping track of events
New events are flagged and to help staff to keep track of which triggers need reviewing they can be marked as ‘in progress’ or ‘complete’. You can also add notes and enter details of any follow-up actions, plus print, save, or email details of a triggered event.
Choose your monitoring settings
The last thing anyone wants when monitoring online digital safety is false alarms. So, to help you reduce these, you can also choose whether to exclude certain applications and websites from being monitored.
Updating and share keywords
We update the database regularly with new terms because, as we all know, it’s an ever-changing landscape. Schools can also add their own keywords to the database that are relevant to your school and community – and even share them across your District/Trust!
Meet online safety requirements
Schools everywhere have a duty of care to their students and that means following a range of online safety legal requirements and guidance. We designed classroom.cloud with these in mind, to help make your job easier!
Online safety issues require sensitive handling and confidentiality. classroom.cloud supports this with its easy-to-use access rights that can be applied or changed as needed, plus schools can also specify when you want the students to be monitored.
In reality, blocking all risks is impractical and students wouldn’t be able to learn from their mistakes. Fortunately, classroom.cloud helps promote a culture of good digital citizenship using its teaching and learning tools.
